Our i-Activsense® safety technologies are engineered to heighten your senses and increase your awareness of your surroundings to help prevent and mitigate collisions.
Uses two ultrasonic sensors mounted on the bumper to keep track of obstacles when reversing at low speeds (approximately 2-8 km/h). If there is a risk of collision the system applies the brakes automatically, minimizing damage resulting from any impact.
Helps the driver avoid frontal collisions while driving at the slow speeds common in urban areas or congested traffic.
MRCC uses a wave radar to judge the relative speed and distance to the car ahead and automatically controls vehicle speed.
Working within a set speed range, MRCC automatically adjusts and maintains a safe following distance from the car in front, thus relieving some of the burden of the driver on long drives and on highways.
CTS can assist with driver fatigue by automatically operating the accelerator and brake pedals to maintain a proper trailing distance between you and the vehicle ahead.
In addition, the system assists with steering to keep the car in its proper lane, supporting a safer, more comfortable driving experience.
Hill Descent Control
Detects line marking on the road surface and warns the driver of unintentional lane departures. This system is particularly effective in situations where the road is continuously straight and drivers have a tendency to not pay sufficient attention to the road.
When the lane change is accompanied by turn signal operation or acceleration, the system recognizes the maneuver as intentional and does not sound an alarm.
The 360° View Monitor activates at speed under 15 km/h and can be operated with the MAZDA CONNECT™ infotainment system. The system uses cameras on the four sides of the vehicle to help detecting objects nearby, minimizing blind spots and avoiding potential danger.
Multiple views are available, including: Normal Front, Wide Front, Side, Normal Rear, Wide Rear and Top Down.
LAS uses a windshield-mounted camera to recognize lane-markings on the road and helps to promote safer driving by providing appropriate steering assistance.
Adaptive LED Headlights
The system comes into play at speeds above 65 km/h and begins to “learn” the driver’s habits, watching inputs and the vehicle’s movements in the early stages before fatigue is a factor. Later, if the system detects changes in vehicle behavior that suggest the driver may be losing concentration, it will suggest a rest stop by sounding a chime and displaying a warning in the Multi-Information Display
While driving the vehicle at about 5 km/h or faster, the Driver Monitoring detects changes in the driver's facial features using the driver monitoring camera.
The Electrical Parking Brake equipment applies the parking brake using an electric motor. When the Electrical Parking Brake is applied, the Electrical Parking Brake switch indicator light turns on.
The ISOFIX compliant childseat attachment point makes it easier to securely install a childseat by pushing the connector mounted underneath the child seat into the attachment point on the vehicle side.
In addition, top tether anchorage and a pivot link structure (which mitigates impact) are incorporated to minimize the amount the child is thrown forward, offering a higher level of safety performance.
Air bags located on the Front, Front Side, Curtain and Driver's knee side
The Mazda AUTOHOLD function automatically holds the vehicle stopped, even if you take your foot off the brake pedal. This function can be best used while stopped in traffic or at a traffic light. The brakes are released when you start driving the vehicle.
