MAZDA sought to create a MAZDA2 that is simple and elegant by whittling down and refining elements based on a “Less Is More” approach to design. The exterior is styled with our new generation brand face and uses horizontal structuring to give the appearance of a low centred gravity and a sense of width, infusing the vehicle with a refined and rich beauty.

Uses two ultrasonic sensors mounted on the bumper to keep track of obstacles when reversing at low speeds (approximately 2-8 km/h). If there is a risk of collision the system applies the brakes automatically, minimizing damage resulting from any impact.
The system uses forward-sensing camera to detect vehicles and pedestrians ahead (frontal vehicles at 4-80 km/h; pedestrians at 10-80 km/h) and provide better protection to both drivers and passengers.
Detects line marking on the road surface and warns the driver of unintentional lane departures.
This system is particularly effective in situations where the road is continuously straight and drivers have a tendency to not pay sufficient attention to the road.
When the lane change is accompanied by turn signal operation or acceleration, the system recognizes the maneuver as intentional and does not sound an alarm.
In addition to the engine torque modulation of the first generation GVC system, the GVC Plus system applies light brake force on outer wheels to add more direct control of the vehicle’s yaw movement, which can help restoring the vehicle to straight line running after a turn-out. This enables the driver to better handle emergency collision avoidance manoeuvres and offers more reassuring controllability in various situations, including high-speed lane changes and driving on slippery roads.
